George Monbiot starts off strong in an October 2016 article. He rightly claims that Trump is the personification of the value of Western society. [1] Unfortunately, this was written before Trump won the 2016 election, which Monbiot (like most liberals) predicted he would lose badly.

Ah...to be so right in one's observations only to be so wrong in your predictions. It's an art that liberals have mastered.

In another October article, Monbiot rightly talks about the false democracy we live in bought by various special interest groups. [2]

In another October article, Monbiot talks about the evils of neoliberalism. [3] Neoliberalism is pretty much defined as capitalism/consumerism on steroids. Sorry, but that's just regular sociopathic capitalism. He talks about the horrors of isolationism and that eating alone leads to obesity because of the lack of impulse control. [3]

What?

That's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. But it's George Monbiot. He's already jumped off the deep end. All we can do is to try and make sure that he doesn't drown in his own climate apocalyptic fear mongering ideologies. To learn more about Monbiot's junk science claims see The Monbiot Effect series.

In a November article, Monbiot believes that kindness and communities is what makes the world go around. [4] Sorry, but that's way off base. In reality, it's power that makes it go around. The power of ancient empires...the power of monarchies...and the power of modern countries like the US, Russia, and China. If you asked someone off the street whether kindness and communities were the foundation of Russia and China, you would most likely be met with a dumbfounded look. Just because Monbiot wants a kinder world doesn’t mean that he'll get it, or that it even exists.

In another November article, Monbiot talks about the global crisis due to bad governance, AI, immigration, and climate change. [5] What else is new? Oddly enough, humans in general tend to thrive in most crises situations. While they don't necessarily come together in unison, they batten down the hatches, secure their family, and prepare themselves for the hard days. Americans are infants in this ideology while Russians are the sages.

In another November article, Monbiot expresses his fear of the then incoming Trump administration. [6] But then again, the Democrats lost. What did you expect after 8 year of Obama? Non-partisan ideologies? Talk about an ideological bubble.

As I've said many times. The form of governance we call democracy is not real democracy. It's a false oligarchy with benevolent and malicious leaders. If you want something better you need to create a blueprint of the future and how to get there. Mine is skoparxism (see Philosophy of Governance & Economics in Philosophy Reborn Part I: Purpose). What is Monbiot's blueprint? Keep protesting and stop buying stuff?

In a December article, Monbiot blames multinational corporations and international trade agreements for pretty much everything wrong with the world. [7] Okay, and what's Monbiot's solution? He doesn't say. He just b*tches about it. Even if he did offer a solution, I'm sure it would be a pie in the sky one.

Christ.

These hippy environmentalists have no good ideas or realistic plans of action. All they do is protest, take over roads and/or bridges for a few hours, get arrested and do it again in a few months.  It's sad and tragic that the global environmental movement has completely lost its way in the 21st century.

In another December article, Monbiot proposes the idea of common ownership of nature, natural resources, and technology. [8] Yah...no. For technology, we have open source. For nature, we have national parks. Everything else is dependent on federal governments. For most Western countries, those powers are granted within the constitution. You can't just decide to give it to the people. That's not how reality works. But don’t tell that to hippy climate change environmentalists today.

In another December article Monbiot decries the Hollywood spin machine of conditioning. [9] While that's great, $20.00 says that most liberals love celebrities and follow them regularly. Why? Because they go together like cheap margarine on garbage white bread. The fake imagery of Hollywood serves the meaningless lives of atheist liberals very well (aside from their opioid prescriptions).
